The committee can assist the flight attendants, along with the company, in the process in applying for FMLA and/or Company Medical Leaves.  The committee will assist FAs in navigating the necessary paperwork and inform them of what benefits they are eligible for through the company when on a FMLA or medical leave.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS COMMITTEE:

 The Health and Safety committee will work with the company to address and resolve safety and health issues.  This committee meets with the company periodically to present issues that have been brought to them.  They then discuss solutions and track changes that are being made by the company.  Notify the committee, in addition to submitting a safety and irregularity report, with any concerns related to the health and safety of the flight attendant workplace.

The Hotel Committee works with Crew Travel to locate contractually-compliant hotels.  If you have an issue or concern regarding a crew hotel, ALWAYS SUBMIT A SAFETY REPORT first and then notify someone on the committee.  The committee can make sure the concern is addressed and provide follow-up to the member when needed. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS COMMITTEE:

• Investigate FA complaints regarding hotel accommodations and transportation issues

• Investigate FA safety concerns with accommodations and transportation

• Provide information to Union Stewards regarding possible contract violations with regard to accommodations and transportation

• Chairperson:  Work with pilot group and designated SCA management.  Visit existing and/or potential hotel sites and/or provide input to decisions that will impact the FA group

The Pass Committee will work, along with other company departments, with the Pass Bureau for updates to the company Pass Policy.  The Committee will work with Inflight to develop new jumpseat agreements for SCA FAs.  Be familiar with pass travel on  Sun Country and other airlines and assist FAs on how to utilize the benefits.  Any concerns or questions should be directed to the Committee members.

• Work with SCA inflight management to develop new jumpseat agreements for the SCA FAs  

• Keep the SCA FAs informed when new Pass/Jumpseat Agreements exist or when changes are made to existing agreements

• Assist FAs with questions regarding our Pass/Jumpseat Agreements and how to utilize the benefits (where to find information on how to list, passwords, etc.)

We all must work together responsibly to create a cooperative, respectful work environment.  When conflict occurs, we must take it upon ourselves to address and make every effort to resolve it respectfully.  When additional assistance is necessary, the Professional Standards Committee may be consulted to assist in a resolution.
