FMLA/Medial Leave Committee |
The committee can assist the flight attendants, along with the company, in the process in applying for FMLA and/or Company Medical Leaves. The committee will assist FAs in navigating the necessary paperwork and inform them of what benefits they are eligible for through the company when on a FMLA or medical leave. Health and Safety Committee |
Desired number of members: ~2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS COMMITTEE: The Health and Safety committee will work with the company to address and resolve safety and health issues. This committee meets with the company periodically to present issues that have been brought to them. They then discuss solutions and track changes that are being made by the company. Notify the committee, in addition to submitting a safety and irregularity report, with any concerns related to the health and safety of the flight attendant workplace. Desired number of members: ~2 The Hotel Committee works with Crew Travel to locate contractually-compliant hotels. If you have an issue or concern regarding a crew hotel, ALWAYS SUBMIT A SAFETY REPORT first and then notify someone on the committee. Desired number of members: ~2 The Pass Committee will work, along with other company departments, with the Pass Bureau for updates to the company Pass Policy. The Committee will work with Inflight to develop new jumpseat agreements for SCA FAs. Be familiar with pass travel on Sun Country and other airlines and assist FAs on how to utilize the benefits.
