IMPLEMENTATION DATES OF NEW CONTRACT PROVISIONS
EFFECTIVE PAY PERIOD BEGINNING DECEMBER 16, 2014
- FIRST YEAR FLIGHT ATTENDANT HOURLY PAY INCREASE TO 18.50. ALL OTHER SCHEDULED LONGEVITY INCREASES REMAIN IN PLACE.
FOR EXAMPLE: EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 16, 2014, FLIGHT ATTENDANTS IN THEIR FIRST OF SERVICE RECEIVED AN HOURLY PAY RATE INCREASE TO $18.50 PER HOUR. UPON COMPLETION OF ONE YEAR OF SERVICE, (ANNIVERSARY DATE) FLIGHT ATTENDANTS WILL ALSO BE ENTITLED TO RECEIVE THE SECOND YEAR WAGE RATE OF 19.89 PER HOUR.
- RESERVE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO RECEIVE A MINIMUM TWO HOUR CALL OUT
- TRIP RIG: FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO BE PAID THE GREATER OF THE SCHEDULED TRIP VALUE OR TOTAL DUTY TIME DIVIDED BY 4.2
- FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO RECEIVE FULL PAY WHILE DEADHEADING ON FERRY FLIGHTS PROVIDED THEY ARE THE ONLY CREW ONBOARD
- ELIMINATION OF THE 120-HOUR MONTHLY MAXIMUM. FLIGHT ATTENDANTS MAY NOW VOLUNTARILY FLY AS MANY HOURS PER MONTH AS THEY SEE FIT. REMEMBER THE COMPANY CANNOT SCHEDULE YOU OR FORCE YOU TO FLY OVER 99 HOURS PER MONTH.
- DEFINITION OF SCHEDULING DAY CHANGED: SCHEDULING DAY AND CALENDAR DAY ARE NOW THE SAME
- DEFINITION OF RETIRED FLIGHT ATTENDANT CHANGED: FOR THE PURPOSES OF PASS TRAVEL A RETIRED FLIGHT ATTENDANT MEANS; AGE + YEARS OF SERVICE = 65 OR MORE
EFFECTIVE PAY PERIOD BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2015
- 401(K): ALL FLIGHT ATTENDANTS THAT PARTICIPATE IN THE SUN COUNTRY 401(K) PLAN WILL NOW RECEIVE A MATCHING COMPANY CONTRIBUTION UP TO 4% OF THEIR ELIGIBLE INCOME.
- VALUE OF A VACATION DAY INCREASED; THE VALUE OF A FLIGHT ATTENDANTS VACATION DAY TO BE INCREASED BASED UPON HOURS FLOWN IN THE PRECEEDING YEAR.
- MINIMUM MONTHLY GUARANTEE INCREASED TO 75 HOURS FOR ANY FIRST YEAR RESERVE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS
- WHEREVER AVAILABLE, THE COMPANY MUST PROVIDE IN ROOM INTERNET ACCESS AT NO COST TO FLIGHT ATTENDANTS ON A LAYOVER.
- CHARTER PRE-DEPARTURE PAY: A FLIGHT ATTENDANT REQUIRED TO REPORT EARLY FOR ANY CHARTER FLIGHT, MUST BE PAID FOR ALL EARLY REPORT TIME IN EXCESS OF THE STANDARD ONE HOUR CHECK –IN.
- FLIGHT ATTENDANTS UNIFORM ALLOWANCE IS NOW BASED UPON HOURS FLOWN IN THE PREVIOUS YEAR.
- FIVE FLIGHT LEG LIMIT: WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FERRY OR DEADHEAD TO RETURN TO BASE, FLIGHT ATTENDANTS ON A DOMESTIC LAYOVER SHALL NOT BE SCHEDULED OR REQUIRED TO FLY MORE THAN FIVE LEGS PER DAY.
- RESERVE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO RECEIVE 11 DAYS OFF IN A 31-DAY MONTH AS DEFINED IN SECTION 2 DEFINITIONS.
- DEADHEADING FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO BE SEATED IN THE MOST FORWARD PORTION OF THE COACH CABIN
- EXCESSIVE OFFLINE DEADHEADING PENALTY PAY
- DESIGINATED AFT OVERHEAD BIN TO BE LABELED FOR CREW USE ONLY. (LABEL DELIVERY PENDING)
- POSTING OF VOLUNTEER LIST FOR EXTENDED PAIRINGS:
THE VOLUNTEER LIST WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR SIX MONTHS.
THE VOLUNTEER LIST IN EFFECT FOR THE PERIOD OF JANUARY 1 – JUNE 30, 2015) WILL CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY JANUARY 14, 2015.
FLIGHT ATTENDANTS WHO CHOOSE TO BE INCLUDED FOR THE INITIAL SIX MONTH PEMUST SIGN UP BY THAT DATE
